TORONTO MARLIES (1) -AT- HAMILTON BULLDOGS (4)

The Hamilton Bulldogs – AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens – defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 4-1 tonight from Copps Coliseum in Hamilton.

The Bulldogs grabbed a 1-0 lead late in the first period on a goal from Louis Leblanc. Patrick Holland’s first professional goal late in the second period made it 2-0 for the Bulldogs. Aaron Palushaj added to the lead with a powerplay marker early in the third. Jake Gardiner responded for Toronto with a goal from the point midway through the final frame. Despite applying pressure late in the game, the Marlies were unable to beat Hamilton goaltender Robert Mayer.
