Maple Leafs Sign Drew MacIntyre to NHL Contract

The goaltender has signed an NHL contract for the balance of the 2012-13 season.

Dave Nonis, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday that Drew MacIntyre has signed an NHL contract for the balance of the 2012-13 season. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

MacIntyre, 29, has played in 16 games for the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League this season posting a record of 10-3-3. The 6-1, 184-pound goaltender has compiled a 1.85 goals against average and a 0.931 save percentage. MacIntyre has previous NHL experience with the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres.

MacIntyre was named CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending March 3, 2013.
