Scott Scores in Overtime to Give the Marlies the Win Over St. John's

Greg Scott's game winning goal is his third in the new year.

The Toronto Marlies defeated the St. John’s IceCaps, AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, by a score of 3-2 in overtime tonight at Mile One Centre.

Kael Mouillierat opened the scoring at 3:43 of the first period. Toronto tied the game at one before the end of the frame on Ryan Lasch’s first goal as a member of the Marlies. The two teams would exchange goals in the second period with Jesse Blacker scoring for Toronto and Eric O’Dell responding for the IceCaps. After killing off a penalty early in overtime, Greg Scott notched the game winning goal at 2:20 of the extra frame.
