IceCaps Down Marlies 5-4 in Shootout

The St. Johns IceCaps, AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 5-4 in a shootout tonight at Mile One Centre in Newfoundland.
Toronto opened the scoring just 23 seconds into the game on Wade MacLeods 4th goal of the season. St. Johns would take a 2-1 lead before the end of the frame on two goals from Adam Lowry. Patrice Cormier notched the lone goal of the second period just 44 seconds into the frame. Peter Hollands 7th goal of the year brought the Marlies back to within one before Carl Klingberg made it 4-2 for St. Johns. T.J. Brennan and Peter Holland scored goals just over one minute apart to tie the game at four. After a scoreless overtime period, Kael Mouillerat notched the game winning goal in the shootout.
