Marlies Take 2-0 Series Lead in in Western Conference Semi-Final

The Toronto Marlies defeated the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, by a score of 4-2 tonight at Allstate Arena. With the win, Toronto now holds a 2-0 series lead in their best-of-seven Western Conference Semifinal.

Peter Holland would score the games first goal just over a minute into the first period. The Marlies would open up a 3-0 lead before the end of the frame with Trevor Smith and Josh Leivo notching even strength goals. Chicago forward Shane Harper tallied the lone goal of the middle frame to cut Torontos lead to 3-1. Dmitrij Jaskin would pull Chicago within one, scoring on a powerplay at 17:21 of the third period. The Wolves were unable to tie the game and Jerry DAmigo added an empty net tally to secure a 4-2 victory for Toronto.
