Marlies Fall 6-3 to Stars in Game 2

Peter Holland Extends Goal Streak to Six Games

The Texas Stars defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 6-3 tonight in game two of the Western Conference Final.

Toronto would open the scoring for the ninth straight game when Jerry DAmigo scored at 4:22 of the first period. Texas would tie the game before the end of the frame with Brett Ritchie tallying on the power play. The two teams would trade goals during the second period with Josh Leivo and Peter Holland scoring for the Marlies while Scott Glennie and Brett Ritchie responded for the Stars. Chris Mueller would add a late goal in the middle frame to give Texas a 4-3 advantage. Glennie tallied his second goal of the game at 14:07 of the final frame to put the game out of reach. Travis Morin added an empty net tally to secure a 6-3 victory for Texas.
