Well, I can't figure this team out right now folks. When they score, they score big and win. When they don't score, they are really not scoring and taking some tough losses. There is no secret that this weekend could end up being the difference of having any chance at 3rd place in the North. It was a very tight, close game in Hamilton on Friday, but it was a four point game that the Marlies let slip away. Then, losing to Hershey at home on Saturday while the Bulldogs won over Syracuse has left them 11 points back going into Sunday's game, which is the second last meeting with Hamilton this year. It's a must win for any shot at the secured playoff spot. Syracuse is keeping it close and don't look now, but the Lake Erie Monsters are back in the mix and trying to close the gap on Toronto for the final playoff spot.
The next 4 games are huge. On the road in Hamilton, Syracuse, Rochester and then home to Lake Erie. Enough said. The good thing is the Marlies are the ones out front who control their own destiny. The question is what story will they write?
Puck drop is 4pm Sunday from Copps Coliseum on the FAN 590.
