Here we go folks! It's the biggest week of the season to date for the Marlies. And it starts against the Bears in Chocolatetown, USA. Greetings from the land where thousands of Hugs and Kisses are handed out everyday. A lot of them are purchased....at Chocolate World in Hershey Park! If you ever wanted to try every flavour of Hershey's Kisses, they are here. In fact, last year I took part in a taste test survey of a new chocolate bar for Hershey. That was after the chocolate factory tour with the singing cows. I'll get some video blog material of that for you.
The Marlies will face Staffan Kronwall and the Bears tonight at the Giant Center. They need to keep putting points up the board to stay ahead of Syracuse.
Friday night will be the 5th last game ever played in the Spectrum in Philadelphia, and we'll be there.
Marlies assistant coach Joe Paterson played for the Bears and the Flyers. We'll have some stories. And, Big Daddy is a Calder Cup champion with Hershey. He was an assistant coach to Bob Hartley.
You can email John with comments and questions about the blog or the Marlies anytime to marliesradio@yahoo.ca.
