Marlies Earn First Road win with 3-2 Victory Over BulldogsAbbott Extends Point Streak to Seven Games

The Toronto Marlies defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, by a score of 3-2 this afternoon at Copps Coliseum.
Forward Jerred Smithsons first goal as a Marlie opened the scoring just 24 seconds into the game. Toronto would open up a 2-0 lead before the end of the period on Greg McKeggs third goal of the season. After a scoreless middle frame, Bulldogs forward Nick Tarnasky cut the lead in half with just over two minutes remaining in regulation. Jerry DAmigo added an empty net tally to secure the victory for Toronto. Defenceman Greg Pateryn notched his third goal of the year with just 18 seconds left on the clock, but the Bulldogs were unable to tie the game.
The Marlies return to the ice on Friday, November 1 when they return to Copps Coliseum for a 7:30 p.m. rematch against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
