The American Hockey League announced today the roster for the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic presented by BMO. Goaltender Artur Akhtyamov was selected to represent Toronto with the North Division. This season, the AHL All-Star Classic will be hosted by the Rockford IceHogs at the BMO Center in Rockford, Illinois from February 10 to 11.
Akhtyamov, 24, is 13-7-1 this season with a 2.98 goals against average and a 0.898 save percentage. The Kazan, Russia native is 24-15-5 in his AHL career with a 2.89 goals against average, a 0.900 save percentage and three shutouts. Akhtyamov made his NHL debut on Dec. 13, 2025 with the Toronto Maple Leafs, stopping all five shots he faced in relief. He was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.
The Toronto Marlies are the primary development program for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Since 2005, 85 players have dressed for the Maple Leafs following their first appearance as a Marlie, including Artur Akhtyamov, Dennis Hildeby, Bobby McMann, William Nylander, Morgan Rielly, Marshall Rifai, Nicholas Robertson and Joseph Woll.
