MARLIES ANNOUNCE BROADCAST TEAM FOR 2026-27 SEASON

September 15, 2026

The Toronto Marlies announced today their new broadcast team for the 2026-27 season, with all games available live and on-demand on FloHockey and the FloSports app throughout the season.

David Bowen will serve as the Marlies’ play-by-play voice for the majority of the club’s home games this season. Matt Cullen and Ben Shulman will each call a selection of games at Coca-Cola Coliseum, with the three broadcasters rotating throughout the season.

“It’s an honour to join the Toronto Marlies as the team’s lead play-by-play broadcaster,” said Bowen. “The Marlies have a proud history and an incredibly passionate fan base, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to tell the stories of this team and its players throughout the season. I’m looking forward to working alongside the organization and bringing Marlies hockey to fans across the region and beyond.”

Bowen will take the booth at Coca-Cola Coliseum while also entering his fifth year as the play-by-play commentator for the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves, the hockey club where he previously played as a goaltender. A Wolves alumnus, Bowen joined the club’s broadcast team in 2022 after playing for Sudbury from 2018-20.

Cullen joins the Marlies broadcast with more than 10 years of experience in play-by-play commentary for various sports as well as being a five-time Olympic play-by-play commentator, most recently calling hockey at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games at Milano-Cortina.

Shulman brings extensive play-by-play experience across baseball, basketball and international sports. He is in his third season as a full-time member of the Toronto Blue Jays broadcast team on Sportsnet, having made his debut with the club in 2022.

The Marlies would also like to congratulate Todd Crocker on his move to the Toronto Maple Leafs broadcast team. Crocker has served as the Marlies’ broadcast play-by-play host for the past 13 seasons, and the organization thanks him for his contributions and wishes him continued success in his new role with the Leafs.

The Marlies will open their 2026-27 regular season on Friday, October 2 on the road against the Rochester Americans before returning to Coca-Cola Coliseum for their home opener on Saturday, October 3 against the Hamilton Hammers. Tickets for the 2026-27 season are now on sale through Ticketmaster.
