Toronto Marlies Clinch Spot In 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs

The Toronto Marlies secured their spot in the American Hockey League Calder Cup Playoffs following the club’s 6-5 shootout win over the Syracuse Crunch combined with the Utica Comet’s shootout loss against the Providence Bruins. Toronto heads to the postseason for the 13th time in franchise history. The Marlies currently are tied for 14thoverall in the league with a 34-23-10-2 record (80 points).

The Toronto Marlies are the primary development program for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Since 2005, 148 players have appeared in regular season games at both the NHL and AHL levels. The current Maple Leafs roster features nine players who have dressed for both the Maple Leafs and Marlies – Simon Benoit, Pontus Holmberg, Martin Jones, Timothy Liljegren, Bobby McMann, William Nylander, Morgan Rielly, Nicholas Robertson and Joseph Woll.
